According to Snyder, the vote for Haley during the Republican primary was about trying to shift the party away from Trump. Yet, since the GOP ultimately nominated the 45th president for a third time, Harris is the favorite in a race pitting her against Trump.

Harris campaign welcoming Republican support
The vice president’s campaign has made clear in no uncertain terms that their doors are open to Haley voters and other anti-Trump GOP members. Just earlier this month, the team kicked off “Republicans for Harris,” an initiative designed to earn the support of these voters.
Austin Weatherford, working as the Harris campaign’s GOP national outreach director, stated “millions” of Republicans no longer feel represented by Trump. Weatherford also stressed the vice president’s commitment to building rapport with Americans who believe in prioritizing “country over party.”
