The second new initiative is the launch of a new product called Home Chef Express Meal Kits. These kits will only be sold at Walgreens through the Kroger brand, and will launch in 65 stores throughout the coming year.
According the press release, Kroger and Walgreens say this partnership is to create a one-stop shopping experience where customers can access products from both brands and order groceries.
There is no timeline on when this program could become national. But if these pilot programs go well, chances are you’ll buying your prescriptions, makeup, health supplies, and groceries all at Walgreens.
