Marjorie Taylor Greene Says She’s Leaving
“I have too much self-respect and dignity… and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me,” she wrote.
She added:
“I’ve always represented the common American man and woman… which is why I’ve always been despised in Washington DC.”
Greene came to Congress in 2020 with a reputation as a staunch Trump ally and a promoter of QAnon-linked theories. She remained one of the loudest voices backing claims that the 2020 election was stolen.
But on the Epstein files, Greene broke decisively from GOP leadership. She joined Democrats—especially Rep. Ro Khanna, who praised her “courageous stand”—to force the vote that would unseal investigative documents related to the disgraced financier.
“No one should pay a price for putting the will of the people over Trump’s political machine,” Khanna said.
