Mastercard Settles Discrimination Claims for $26 Million, Promises Hiring Practice Overhaul

Plaintiffs’ attorney Cara E. Greene of Outten & Golden LLP called the settlement a “fair compromise” and praised its non-monetary terms, which she believes will help ensure Mastercard’s workplace remains equitable for its diverse workforce.

The case is Deborah Hayman et al. v. Mastercard Inc., case number 7:25-cv-00340, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
