A simple lunch break stop for pizza turned into a life-changing moment for a Michigan woman who won the largest jackpot ever awarded in the state’s Club Keno bonus game. Sue Strong, 65, a resident of Shelby Township, became a record-setting winner through the Michigan Lottery after claiming an $822,159 prize in the bonus game known as The Jack. Strong said she has been playing Club Keno regularly and usually adds The Jack option to her ticket. On the day she won, she bought a pizza during her lunch break, then checked the drawing results live on her phone while eating. “I went out to buy a Club Keno ticket and pizza,” Strong said. “While I was eating, I watched the drawing. When I saw all my The Jack numbers match and the jackpot reset, I was shocked. It was exciting, but I’ve barely slept since.” Strong’s winning ticket was purchased at Party Palace Liquor Inc. She selected easy-pick numbers 10, 26, 33, 50, 56, 58, 60, 67 and 70. To win the progressive jackpot, players must match all nine assigned numbers in The Jack bonus feature. During draw 2569809, Strong’s numbers matched nine of the 20 numbers selected in the Club Keno drawing.
