More Americans Now Likely to Frown Upon Drinking in Moderation

Across age demographics, 65% of folks between the ages of 18 and 35 perceive mild drinking as harmful. However, for people ages 35 to 54, just 37% believe it’s not healthy to ingest alcohol with temperance. When surveying individuals 55 and up, 39% told Gallup it’s not good to have only one to two alcoholic beverages in a day.

Don’t drink on an empty stomach, as this can make it harder for your body to properly metabolize the alcohol.
