The murder of the teen Mom took place after she was tortured for a week.
“After meeting him the first time, [Corsette] went home, and then the next day she returned to his home,” police said in a social media post.
Corsette’s grandmother reported her missing to the Guilford Police Department on February 24. Police noted that the teen had a history of running away from home.
She lived with her grandmother and was the mother of an 11-month-old baby.
Authorities estimate that Corsette was killed between February 20 and February 24. Records indicate that her body was transported by car to another location, where she was dismembered and discarded in a dumpster.
Suspects Face Murder Charges
Gress and Brandes are facing first-degree murder charges for their alleged roles in the heinous crime.
Gress had already been in custody since March 5 on unrelated drug and weapon charges after allegedly pointing a harpoon at Brandes.
Brandes later turned herself in on March 8.
Authorities continue to investigate the case, seeking justice for Corsette and her young child.
