Nikki Haley Now Leading DeSantis in New Iowa Poll

In recent weeks, both GOP contenders have begun trading blows with increasing intensity. During Wednesday night’s debate in Des Moines, Haley and DeSantis accused each other of lying, poorly managing policy issues, and lacking the fortitude to take on Democrats.

With the Iowa caucuses coming on January 15, time will tell which Republican contender walks away with the win. Both Iowa and New Hampshire are traditionally viewed as bellwether states that strongly indicate the future nominee of the party.

Haley and DeSantis, for what it’s worth, have each expressed confidence in their own abilities to take home the win in Iowa.

Grassroots campaigning ahead of Monday

Earlier today, Haley and DeSantis both attended the Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit, speaking to eventgoers. While on stage, the Florida governor stressed the importance of biofuels and energy independence.

The former UN ambassador touched on these matters as well, making the case that Iowans should cast their ballots for her to keep the state’s agriculture in good condition. On social media, Haley again underscored the major contributions that Iowa’s agriculture has on the rest of the world.
