Unnamed Democrat vs. President Trump

According to the aforementioned coverage, 46% of Americans would vote for the unnamed Democrat. Furthermore, 18% of Americans were unsure while 36% would vote for President Trump.

40% of Independent support would go towards the Democrat, while 30% of Independents would support President Trump. The remaining 30% remains unsure.

The poll alleging the above information contains feedback from 1,990 American voters and was administered between October 26 and October 30.

Questions About the Poll

Within the past few months, many Americans have expressed skepticism and uncertainty regarding political polls. On multiple occasions, pollsters have chosen to survey considerably more Independents and Democrats than Republicans, as opposed to an equal percentage from each party.

This did not sit well with conservatives and Trump supporters. Since the majority of President Trump’s support comes from Republicans, many have noted that polling considerably less Republicans than Democrats and Independents is a sneaky way of crafting the illusion of stagnant support for the President. Many liberals have remained silent on this issue.
