The 2020 presidential election marks a very intense time for many Americans. This is especially true for Democrats who are eager to get President Trump out of office and elect a new commander-in-chief.
As Democrat candidates ready themselves for Super Tuesday, left-wingers in various positions are weighing in with their own thoughts. While the president’s political foes don’t hesitate to articulate their dislike of Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi takes dislike of Trump to an entirely new level.
Earlier this year, the House Speaker absorbed backlash for tearing up her copy of President Trump’s State of the Union Address. This also came on the heels of the impeachment proceedings where the Senate acquited Trump as most Americans expected.
Now, Pelosi is branding the 45th president as the “most dangerous person” in American history. The Speaker shared this opinion when participating in a Variety interview.
Why Does Pelosi Believe Trump is the “Most Dangerous” Person in U.S. History?
When sharing her thoughts about the president, Pelosi spoke about the 2016 presidential election’s outcome. According to the House Speaker, Americans declined to “turn out” because they thought Hillary Clinton would win. Pelosi then went on to lament over the reality that “somebody like Donald Trump” ascended to the White House.
She didn’t stop there, however. Pelosi furthermore admitted that she has “real problems” with Trump for a series of reasons. The cited reasons included Pelosi claiming that Trump is dishonest, dishonorable towards the Constitution, and even harmful to children.
In the House Speaker’s own words:
“My whole message is about children. Anybody who hurts children — I’m a lioness. Watch out.”
Additional Points from Pelosi’s Variety Interview
In another segment of the interview, Pelosi shared her thoughts about the greatness of our nation. To be precise, the House Speaker asserted that America will ultimately “withstand” and “move on” from what she believes Trump has done.
Towards the end, Pelosi shared her appreciation of the arts and enjoyment of shows like The Crown and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Thus far, President Trump has not directly or openly responded to the claims made by Pelosi in her latest interview.
