Within the walls of Penguin Random House, it becomes clear that a significant portion of its staff feel that Peterson’s book is too nuclear for publication, leaving many in utter dismay. In an exclusive report, four employees within the company told Vice News that they had called a meeting on Monday in an attempt to block the book.
One junior staffer reportedly said, “He is an icon of hate speech and transphobia, and the fact that he’s an icon of white supremacy, regardless of the content of his book, I’m not proud to work for a company that publishes him.” Others allegedly cried, with one saying Peterson’s book would have a “negative effect on their non-binary friend.”
Peterson’s last book “12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos,” became a centerpiece for leftist critiques of conservative-leaning viewpoints. Of course, Peterson has gone to great lengths to clarify his position, saying his message isn’t catering to one specific political viewpoint or another. Rather, the subject matter of his books focuses on non-political truisms we all know but have mysteriously forgotten.
