POLL: Americans Fearful of Domestic Involvement in Israel-Hamas War

As antisemitism continues to grow, 75% of Americans agree this is a domestic problem. Recent weeks have seen threats made against Jews, Jewish college students being forced to lock themselves into secluded rooms for their own safety, and more.

Then, of course, there have also been myriad viral videos that show pro-Palestine demonstrators tearing down the missing posters of abducted people in Israel.

Ongoing developments

At this time, there’s no telling how much longer the war in Israel will carry on. Though Hamas continues to make it clear they have no intention of backing down. As the conflict in the Middle East plays out, so do various demonstrations supporting Israel, Palestine, or even Hamas.

On social media, people have started identifying and contacting the employers of folks who remove missing posters of Israelis, openly advocate for Hamas, or call for the erasure of Israel. Many folks publicly engaging in antisemitism like this hence suffered job loss as a result.

Ultimately, the weeks ahead will provide more insight into not just the future of Israel, but also the possibility of eventual harmony in the Middle East.
