The yacht slammed into the ferry near Dodge Island around 3 a.m., leading to a swift response from the ferry crew who rescued one of the boat’s passengers, now in critical condition.
As the rescued individual was being transported to the hospital, he alerted paramedics to his missing friend.
In response, a Miami police dive team was summoned to the scene.
