President Trump Enacts Healthcare Executive Order

On Thursday, President Trump signed a healthcare executive order and earlier today, expressed his pride in it, as reported by The Hill.

What Does the Healthcare Executive Order Entail?

The goal of President Trump’s healthcare executive order is to help small businesses and others obtain health insurance via association health plans. Furthermore, agencies must now produce new rules. Also, limits on healthcare plans of a shorter term shall be rescinded.

Earlier today, the President tweeted out the following about the aforementioned executive order:

“Very proud of my Executive Order which will allow greatly expanded access and far lower costs for HealthCare. Millions of people benefit!”

“Health Insurance stocks, which have gone through the roof during the ObamaCare years, plunged yesterday after I ended their Dems windfall!”

Response from the American People

Many Democrats and supporters of Obamacare strongly censured the President’s executive order. Top progressive leaders called it a “spiteful act of vast, pointless sabotage.” Additionally, 18 states announced their decision to sue the President as a means of preserving cost sharing reduction payments.
