Controversy Surrounding Acosta’s Loss of Press Credentials
Similarly to today’s news of the federal judge’s order, reports of Acosta losing his press pass rapidly made headlines last week. Americans on different sides of the aisle weighed in with their viewpoints and thoughts. Some individuals stated that the White House had the right to remove Acosta’s credentials due to his conduct.
However, not all people shared this view. Others maintained that the loss of Acosta’s press pass stemmed from President Trump’s dislike of Acosta’s questions. Talk about whether or not the loss of credentials infringed on the First Amendment also arose.
