China is just the start of lawsuits against Apple. In a press release Qualcomm says they are looking at taking more legal action in other countries and jurisdictions around the world.

The ban affects all iphone model starting with the 6S and ending with the iphone X.

CNBC reports that Apple, in response to Qualcomm’s lawsuit, has filed an appeal to reverse the Chinese Court’s decision. Apple claims that their products, installed with new software, do not infringe on any patents, and call this lawsuit desperate.

“Qualcomm’s effort to ban our products is another desperate move by a company whose illegal practices are under investigation by regulators around the world,” Apple said in a statement earlier Monday. “All iPhone models remain available for our customers in China. Qualcomm is asserting three patents they had never raised before, including one which has already been invalidated. We will pursue all our legal options through the courts.”
