In a surprising move disclosed late Monday, Renault SA declared the abandonment of Ampere’s listing slated for the first half of 2024, attributing the decision to the “current equity market conditions.” Instead of relying on public investors, Renault opted for an alternative route, emphasizing Ampere’s capacity to finance itself independently.

“We took a pragmatic decision,” remarked Luca de Meo, Renault and Ampere’s Chief Executive. “We are all focused on executing our strategy and building our track record to create value for all our stakeholders.”

Continued Support and Ambitious Targets

Despite the setback, Renault reaffirmed its commitment to Ampere’s growth, pledging to sustain its development until 2025. Ampere, eyeing a revenue target of €10 billion ($10.8 billion) by 2025 and an ambitious €25 billion by 2031, remains a strategic focus for Renault’s long-term vision.
