‘The Resistance’ Takes Heat from President Trump

Finally, President Trump expressed concerns that Congressional members of The Resistance are intentionally blocking the success of his policies and reform measures:

“They have blocked every effort to close deadly loopholes, to keep out vicious criminals, and to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs. They are a disaster at the border. These actions are endangering our citizens, threatening our communities, and undermining our national security.”

A Divided America

The 2016 Presidential race arguably served as one of the most divisive elections in modern history. Unfortunately, the aforementioned division remains alive and well even to this day. Republicans and Democrats alike moreover continue to blame each other for various entities and policies which they deem as problematic.

Overall, The Resistance has clearly stated that their objective is to work against the President. Many Democrats also ceaselessly called for Trump’s impeachment on multiple occasions.

As the national infighting continues, some Americans have vocalized their wishes for both sides to work together. However, to certain people, unity and togetherness in today’s climate appears quite far away.
