Earlier this week, Donald Trump Jr. posted the entire series of emails between himself and Rob Goldstone, presumably to absolve himself of any guilt and set the record straight once and for all. However, his latest move only engendered the media to increase their attacks on the President’s eldest son. Many Americans contrasted Donald Trump Jr.’s release of emails to Hillary Clinton’s mass deletion of emails and wondered if the mainstream networks would be any less abrasive had Donald Trump Jr. chosen Clinton’s course of action.
Rinat Akhmetshin, Russian-American lobbyist, is believed to have attended this meeting with Donald Trump Jr. along with Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner, according to additional reports from Business Insider. Akhmetshin is now alleging that at some point during the meeting, his lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, extended paperwork which supposedly showcased fraudulent funds being granted to the Democratic National Committee.
As of now, the investigation into this meeting consists of nothing more than hearsay. Quite frankly, Russia’s refusal to cover such groundless fake news is understandable. As many people in this country realize, if there was real evidence of criminal activity within the Trump administration or family, it would have already surfaced.
