Shooting in Guaranteed Rate Field after White Sox loss to Oakland

 Guaranteed Rate Field stadium was the scene of a “shooting incident, “on Friday night. Police confirmed that two people were shot after the White Sox’s game against the Oakland A’s.

The attendance for Friday’s game was reportedly 21,906 people.

According to audio of the 16th & 17th District Chicago Police Scanner on Twitter, one fan was grazed in the stomach and another victim was shot in the leg. A third victim escaped uninjured.

The victim with the wounded leg is reported to have been transported to the University of Chicago Hospital. 

Police said that the bloodshed occurred in the outfield bleachers of section 162.

According to a witness, named Tom Miller who claimed he was sitting two rows behind where the shooting happened, security relocated him and the entire section to section six. And they were forced to remain there for about 45 minutes.
