Snapchat users are trying to delete their accounts after the platform’s My AI feature may have malfunctioned.
Google search data from NoDepositDaily.com recently revealed that online searches for “delete Snapchat” increased by a staggering 1,019 percent worldwide in the last two weeks.
The exodus is due to Snapchat users being upset after the platform suffered a malfunction with its My AI chatbot on August 15.
My AI gets weird
In mid-August My AI began to share its own eerie images.
In the story, the photo showed what appeared like a wall that could be seen for a few seconds.
Snapchat users also reported that during that time, the new feature refused to respond to messages and chats.
This made the situation seem even more troubling. And many users wondered if the platform had been hacked or if AI had come to life on its own.
