The company has not yet disclosed the extent of the damage to its Starbase infrastructure or whether the explosion will impact the timeline for the next flight test, which was expected later this month.

Despite setbacks like this one, SpaceX continues to lead in the private spaceflight industry. Alongside its long-term Mars plans, the company is actively supplying cargo and astronauts to the International Space Station, launching Starlink satellites, and preparing private spaceflights for commercial customers like Axiom Space and Jared Isaacman’s Inspiration4 mission.
