He extensively studied the details of forensics, DNA, and other evidential procedures that aid prosecutors to secure convictions.
In both DeSales and WSU, he had some top-notch teachers.
One of his professors was renowned forensic psychologist Katherine Ramsland who wrote “The Mind of a Murderer,” “How to Catch a Killer,” and “Confession of a Serial Killer: The Untold Story of Dennis Rader, the BTK Killer.”
Dr. Ramsland developed a relationship with the notorious BTK killer, Dennis Rader, when she co-wrote a book with him.
Rader was arrested in 2005 and he finally confessed to 10 killings between 1974 and 1991. The initials he used to taunt police, BTK, stood for “bind, torture, kill.”
