Former President Donald Trump is fighting to prevent the dismissal of his data protection claim against the author of the infamous “Steele dossier” in a London court. He asserts that he is battling to correct false allegations of “perverted sexual behavior.”

Trump Steele Dossier Trial: Battle in the London Court

In the High Court, Trump is suing Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd., the intelligence firm of former MI6 agent Christopher Steele. His lawsuit is centered on data protection claims related to the allegations in the well-known 2016 dossier, which he claims are unfounded.

The Steele dossier was published by online news site BuzzFeed Inc. in January 2017. It contained numerous claims of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and Russian officials. Some of these allegations included assertions that the former President paid sex workers for a “golden showers” show in a Moscow hotel’s presidential suite and provided blackmail material to Russian state authorities.

Unverified Allegations and Trump’s Denial

Many of the claims in the dossier have not been verified or have been disproven by later investigations. Trump vehemently denies these allegations and has filed court documents seeking a High Court judgment declaring them false.
