Following an October meeting with Zelensky, Donald Trump denied reports that he had urged Ukraine to surrender Donbas but suggested freezing the front lines.
“They should stop right now at the battle lines,” Trump said. “Go home, stop killing people and be done.”
Zelensky, however, rejected any notion of withdrawal, emphasizing that Russia’s position remains unchanged.
“They want us to withdraw completely from Donetsk and Luhansk. That is not acceptable,” he stated.
