The latest news is that Bang Energy Shots and Redline Energy Shots will be discontinued.
Rodney Sacks, the CEO of Monster, shut the door on all uncertainties during an August 3rd analyst call. Sacks clarified, “Our aim involves streamlining Bang’s array of products and product lines, seamlessly integrating Bang into the established Monster Infrastructure. At present, we have no plans to continue the production or distribution of Bang’s additional product lines like shots or Red Line, apart from managing existing inventories.”
“We may consider reintroducing certain of those product lines sometime in the future.”
Monster also took possession of the Bang production facility in Phoenix, Arizona. “We are excited about our acquisition of the state-of-the-art Bang Energy production facility in Phoenix, Arizona, which we intend to utilize for Bang as well as other products in the Monster portfolio,”
Monster will still be producing Bang Energy beverages, but they will halt the manufacturing of energy shots. And this leads to questions about the entity that will step into Bang’s lead position within the energy shot market’s top five shares.
