Wrongfully Convicted Maryland Man Files Lawsuit Over 1981 Memorial Day Murders

After his release, Huffington dedicated himself to helping others rebuild their lives, working in workforce development with the Living Classrooms Foundation in Baltimore. In 2023, then-Gov. Larry Hogan granted him a full pardon, and the state awarded him $2.9 million in compensation for his wrongful conviction.

The case will be heard by U.S. District Judge Brendan A. Hurson in Baltimore.
