A new report from The Daily Wire shows that half of American millennials prefer socialism or communism to capitalism.

The data from the aforementioned poll originates from YouGov. Executive director Marion Smith also shared the following statements:

"Millennials now make up the largest generation in America, and we’re seeing some deeply worrisome trends. Millennials are increasingly turning away from capitalism and toward socialism and even communism as a viable alternative."

Older generations and conservatives have frequently expressed concern regarding millennials' aforementioned economic views. Moreover, they often question whether or not millennials in favor of socialism and communism are truly aware of what these systems entail or how drastically their lives would change under socialism or communism.

Many have noted the tragic irony in millennials favoring socialism and communism over capitalism. Social media, phones, fancy tech gadgets, and more are all fruits of capitalism. Americans in favor of capitalism also assert that millennials ought to be careful what they wish for.
