Inside the residence, deputies discovered six pounds of marijuana (packaged for sale), four firearms, and an astonishing $302,660 in cash.
Further scrutiny of De La Madrid’s criminal history unveiled his prior conviction on April 3, 2019, for possession of marijuana, classifying him as a convicted felon.
He is now facing an additional federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. And this will further compound his legal troubles.
An initial appearance in federal court on Friday served as a grim reminder of the serious consequences awaiting him. With a detention hearing scheduled for July 5, De La Madrid remains in custody without the possibility of bond.
