Is it too late for AI companies to regain the public’s trust?
Edelman believes these organizations will need to take profound, constructive steps forward to regain the confidence of concerned citizens.
Part of that work, the public relations firm asserts, must entail collaborative efforts that prioritize issues raised about the technology. Likewise, AI companies can earn back trust by innovating via moral strategies, rather than placing profit above all else.
Whether or not this happens remains to be seen. Yet, it’s clear that many people are beginning to wonder whether artificial intelligence will do more harm than good. Without the aforementioned changes, the likelihood of even more distrust towards AI companies is all but certain.
