Almost Eight in Ten Americans Favor More Policing

70% of Americans furthermore agreed that budgets for policing in the country need to be increased, rather than decreased. As crime goes up across America, the lack of sustainability in defunding police is becoming more and more apparent. Individuals residing in cities like Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, etc., also have a first-hand look at the ugliness of crime increases.

Bad news for the Democrat Party

The nationwide support for boosting policing spells bad news for Democrats. Despite the lies from the White House, Democrats are on record pushing and rallying to defund law enforcement. Even now, Democrats like Reps. Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are downplaying the severity of crime increases.

In a recent CNN interview, Pressley stated that she still believes in “reimagining” and “redirecting” funds from law enforcement; meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez, by her own admission, views unease about crime surges as mere “hysteria.”

This indicates a severe disconnect between Democrat leaders and the American public. All of this also comes ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. No matter how much the White House attempts to say that Republicans pushed to defund the police, Americans know better.
