Right now, 47.6% of Californians are supportive of recalling Newsom. This is less than half; however, GOP strategist David Gilliard confirms that Republicans are more “motivated” in this recall election than their Democrat counterparts. Moreover, non-affiliated voters and Latino voters also remain strongly in favor of firing the current California governor.

The reality is very clear; this election will be close whichever way it goes. However, there is a sincere possibility that Newsom will be tossed out of office.

Newsom on the recall election

The California governor is doing all he can to remain in the governor’s mansion. Newsom, on Twitter, recently accused Republicans of seeking to drag California “off the same cliff” as Florida and Texas. What Newsom didn’t mention however is that California lost a congressional seat while Florida and Texas gained seats.

Newsom maintains that the current recall election is merely a partisan revenge plot; yet, Republicans are not the only ones who fought to make this recall election happen.
