Just 4 months after the conservatorship of superstar Britney Spears conservatorship ended, Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship also ended. The success of the Free Britney movement has put a spotlight on the practice of conservatorships. But it seems that the conservatorship in Amanda’s case was much less abusive.

Former child star and teen actress Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship was officially terminated on Tuesday. The judge in a Ventura County court approved her “capacity declaration” and petition for termination filed in February.

“The court determines that the conservatorship is no longer required and that grounds for the establishment of a conservatorship of the person no longer exist,” Superior Court Judge Robert Lund gave the tentative ruling Monday and finalized it Tuesday. “The court intends to grant the petition for termination and order the conservatorship of the person of Amanda Bynes be terminated.”
