Only a small amount of people will shop online OR in person.

80 percent of American consumers plan to shop online and in person. The other 20 percent of American  shoppers are split down the middle. 10 percent will strictly shop online, while the other 10 percent will strictly shop in person at brick and mortar stores.

This report also suggests America’s Black Friday sales are better than anywhere else in the world. That’s because the average discount you can expect to find is 68 percent off retail price. Ukraine and Canada tied for the second highest average discounts at 66 percent. Black Friday Global estimates that Americans who spend the estimated $515, will save on average nearly $1100.

If you look on a global scale, it seems most shoppers are on the same page when it comes to what people will actually be buying. The number one thing consumers will buy worldwide on Friday is clothing. The second most popular item to buy is electronics, then shoes, cosmetics and home appliances. The least shopped item on Black Friday shopping lists is underwear.
