Biden Increasingly Unpopular with Independent Voters

At this time, economic problems are hurting Biden the most with Independents throughout America. Disapproval of inflation is a very real issue; however, the president and his administration routinely downplay inflation. This is doing nothing to bridge the mounting divide between Biden and Independents.

Can Republicans win over Independents?

As things currently stand, the GOP appears positioned to do well with Independents in the midterms next year. For starters, Independents, like Republicans, are widely concerned about the economy under President Biden; furthermore, the GOP has honed in on Democrats’ other failures, such as backing critical race theory and calling to defund police.

Democrat Rep. Cori Bush recently came under fire for touting her own personal security detail; yet, in the next breath, Bush confirmed that she is still supportive of defunding police.

Leftist calls to defund police come amid massive jumps in crime across several U.S. cities. Republicans are not letting Independent voters or anyone else forget this. Right now, Democrats appear hard pressed to show the nation why they should remain in power.
