On Tuesday, Andrew Cuomo resigns. And the resignation will be effective in two weeks. He was brought down by state Attorney General Letitia James’ sexual harassment investigation. And her damning 156-page report follows accusations of 11 women who worked for Cuomo from 2013 to 2020.

Cuomo has been the Governor of New York since 2011. And is nearing the end of his third term in the office. He is a Democrat who was elected to the same job as his father, Mario Cuomo. His father served as Governor of New York from 1983 to 1994.

Cuomo did not concede to any major wrongdoing.  Although he did admit to making jokes and hugging and kissing, “women and men.” And he continues to accuse state investigators of bias.

“When there is a bias or a lack of fairness in the justice system, it is a concern for everyone,” he said. “There is a difference between alleged improper conduct and concluding sexual harassment. Now, don’t get me wrong, this is not to say that there are 11 women who I truly offended. There are, and I deeply, deeply apologize,” he added.
