A new poll shows that among Muslim Americans in Michigan, Biden is down badly. Only 16% of this demographic confirmed they’d cast ballots for the president if they had to vote in the 2024 race today.
Many Muslim and Arab Americans also feel that Biden hasn’t done a very good job in his approach to the war in Israel. For that reason alone, a significant amount of Muslim and Arab voters expressed willingness to support a Democrat seeking to replace Biden or to cast ballots for a third-party contender.
An underlying problem for the Democrat Party?
Varied reactions from the left wing to the war in Israel put the party under somewhat of a microscope. Critics, especially those who feel sympathetic to Israel’s plight, have now begun to caution that the Democrat Party ultimately has an antisemitism problem.
How this impacts Biden’s ability to stay in good standing with his own voter base remains to be seen. However, there’s no denying that the Israel-Hamas war has significantly impacted how various Americans view different political officials.
