Contrasting Reactions to Divorce Settlement

The couple’s divergent responses to their December 2024 divorce settlement reveal the emotional toll of their prolonged legal battle. Through her attorney James Simon, Jolie expressed profound relief at finally closing this chapter of her life.

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” Simon stated. “Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

In stark contrast, Pitt adopted a more matter-of-fact approach when discussing the settlement with GQ Magazine. “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing,” the 61-year-old actor remarked. “Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”

Learning from Mistakes and Moving Forward

Despite the ongoing legal turmoil, Pitt has spoken candidly about personal growth and learning from past mistakes. At the premiere of his latest film “F1,” he reflected on resilience and redemption. “No matter the mistake, you know, you just learn from [it] and move on,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It’ll lead to the next success.”

The actor has also emphasized the importance of surrounding himself with trusted loved ones during this challenging period. “At my age, I see how important it is to surround yourself with the people you know, the people you love, the people that love you back,” he shared. “Friends, family, and that’s it. From there, we get to go make things. It’s a pretty simple, I think, equation.”
