He then explained what action he would take if Spears’ dad refuses to sit for a deposition.

“If necessary, the action we will take to get his deposition, which is required by law, is to file a motion to compel. It should not be necessary, but if he continues to evade his deposition, we will file a motion to compel.”

A motion to compel is a formal request to ask the court to force Jamie to give the information requested.

Rosengart ended the interview by repeating that “Mr. Spears is a disgrace and suspended as her conservator. That’s a statement of fact.”

Zabel, Rosengart, and others are continuing to review the estate. In August the attorney claimed, “There has been an evident dissipation of assets of Ms. Spears Estate, and that dissipation is ongoing.”

Outside the courthouse, in Rosengart’s update, he said, “TriStar filed a motion to quash subpoenas that were served on TriStar, as well as Robin Greenhill, and that’s something the court is going to address during the hearing on Jan. 19.”
