Billionaire Tom Steyer supports Clean Cars 2040 Act

Billionaire hedge fund manager Tom Steyer supports the Clean Cars 2040 Act. He believes that California needs to “take action to accelerate the transition to 100% clean vehicles.”

Steyer stressed, “Dirty vehicles are the largest source of carbon emissions in California –polluting the air and water for millions across the state.”

In addition, he said the legislation is necessary to protect Californian’s health and create good-paying clean energy jobs. It will also boost the state’s role as a global climate leader.

Furthermore, Steyer said, “If we want to seriously combat climate change…we need to invest in clean, zero emission transportation.”
