Nasty weather is something that few people look forward to. These harsh climate conditions often cause accidents, injuries, and problems for people who are interested in traveling.

Over the years, bad weather has been the culprit for all sorts of crises in the lives of many people. Sadly, it’s not going anyway anytime soon. In fact, right now, countless people in California are suffering negative impacts from storms that have hit.

For those in California or surrounding areas, having full awareness of the situation on the ground is imperative.

What to know about the weather in California

Thus far, Los Angeles and encompassing communities have about 85,000 individuals and businesses alike that remain without power. Causing these massive power outages are rain, hail, snow, and heavy winds.

Roads and highways also continue to suffer from disruptions and even closures in some cases. Interstate 5, for instance, which takes people north out of Los Angeles, is blocked near the Grapevine Grade.

Meanwhile, California’s Transportation Department has announced the closure of the freeway’s southern points. These closures come due to heavy snow and other weather conditions that currently make moving this snow difficult.
