Bliss apologized in response to the backlash with a statement.
They claim they rented out the venue to the funeral home with no notice that “Goonew’s home-going celebration” would involve the display of his body. And that management “wasn’t made aware of what would transpire.”
According to TMZ, Goonew’s mother Patrice and his sister Ariana Morrow say they planned the memorial service exactly as the rapper would have wanted it.
Goonew was standing up, because his mother didn’t want anyone looking down on her son. And the rapper also known as the “King of Maryland” by his fans had a crown placed on his head for that reason.
