The injunction
Given the current state of affairs, it seems likely that an injunction will be filed.
This injunction would ideally prevent the exclusion of the Seminoles from CFP until everything gets worked out in the courts. If the projected injunction filing goes through, it’s also very likely that the CFP committee will attempt to fight it and uphold their decision.
Ultimately, there’s no telling how far this thing could go. For now, the committee is showing no signs of walking back its decision. There’s also been no further explanation about keeping FSU out, while allowing teams that performed poorly in comparison to make it to the playoffs.
In the meantime, sports fans should keep their eyes peeled for additional updates as this all plays out. Should legal action against the committee take place, it could very likely drag out for an untold period of time.
Amid the chaos, the Florida State Seminoles are now working to get their football schedule for 2025 fully squared away.
