Maxwell was convicted as a co-conspirator of the notorious financier and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
This latest legal maneuver follows a multi-year review by Judge Preska to determine which documents should be made public.
The unsealing of documents is related to a 2015 lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre, who accused Ghislaine Maxwell of facilitating sexual abuse orchestrated by Epstein when Giuffre was just 16. After settling the lawsuit in 2017, the Miami Herald filed a motion to unseal documents from the case. This led to the ongoing review by Judge Preska.
