Gomez later dialed 911, admitting, “I have made a mistake of my life. I fought with the mother of my kids last night, and we tried to kill each other, and she’s dead,” according to KTNV.
Authorities promptly arrested Gomez and transported him to the University Medical Center for his injuries.
The children were found unharmed, and Child Protective Services took custody of them.
