Sunday night took a grim turn in Central Fresno when a stabbing incident resulted in a woman’s death, drawing the immediate attention of the Fresno police.
A 911 Call and a Tragic Discovery
Just around 7 p.m., the police responded promptly to a 911 distress call regarding a stabbing victim at the post office situated at Griffth Way and Blackstone Avenue. Upon arrival, officers made the chilling discovery of a woman, thought to be in her late 50s, suffering from a severe stab wound inflicted on her upper body.
Victim Succumbs to Injuries
The Fresno stabbing victim was immediately transported to the hospital, fighting a losing battle against her injuries. Tragically, she lost her life in the hospital. Initial police speculation suggests she might have been a member of the unhoused community in the area.
