She added, “The crowd fled at the sound of gun shots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.”

Furthermore, she said, “Our grief isn’t enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.”

In response to Clinton’s statement, NRA spokeswoman and radio talk show host Dana Loesch tweeted, “Suppressors only reduce by a few decibels, still same decibel as a jackhammer.”

On the other hand, Ben Shapiro, a conservative commentator and editor of The Daily Wire called Clinton’s statement as “ignorant, irrelevant, and exploitative.”

Bux Sexton, a radio host and CIA veteran said Clinton “knows nothing about firearms, and even worse, she doesn’t care. He said her statement was, “appallingly stupid and entirely irrelevant.”
