According to the Chicago Police, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Chapman in the chest. The victim was taken to the Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office performed an autopsy and ruled that Chapman’s death as a homicide.
Around 11:45 p.m. on Friday, the Chicago Police said a 35-year-old male who was a victim of a shooting was dropped off at the Holy Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim was involved in an argument in the block of West 61st Street where he was shot on his chest.
Chicago Police detectives are investigating the shootings and have not arrested any suspect.
