Democrat governors in blue states are seeing an increased amount of pushback against lockdowns. Americans are tired of being told to sit at home and not work as they plunge further and further into financial devastation. The reality of red states gradually starting to reopen also likely plays a role in residents of blue states’ interest in doing the same.

Yesterday, Californians took to the streets to express their disapproval of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s shutdown. The latest instance of social unrest furthermore comes as Newsom and other California elected officials attempt to micromanage the outdoor activities of California residents.

A Closer Look at Yesterday’s Anti-Shutdown Protests

Californians gathered at the Los Angeles City Hall to push back on the state’s lockdown. The protesters carried signs affirming the importance of work and freedom; furthermore, participants in the protest drove in cars with U.S. flags and signage protesting shutdowns.
