Georgia plans to have a final recount completed by Nov. 20 according to Raffensperger, with former Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA) leading the charge on behalf of the Trump campaign. If the President were to lose Georgia in the face of a recount, his chances of winning the election become even slimmer.
Raffensperger has apparently been in the spotlight recently as Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Purdue called for his resignation, saying there have been “too many failures in Georgia elections this year.” What exactly is meant by the statement remains to be seen.
For Americans watching the election drag on, a final result in Georgia will be a big step forward in bringing one of the most contentious elections in American history to a fateful close.
